Lali X Lola are award-winning Afro-fusion performing and recording artists, songwriters, dancers, and creative entrepreneurs made up of identical twin sisters Lali (Patricia Delali Dake) and Lola (Trysha Wolali Dake). Blending Afropop, Afrobeats, choreography and performance art, the duo are known for their vibrant stage presence, playful charisma, and unmistakable twin synergy.
In 2024, Lali X Lola won Emerging Woman of the Year at the 3Music Awards and were nominees at the Ghana Music Awards. Their momentum continued into 2025 with two additional nominations at the Ghana Music Awards, confirming their growing impact within Ghana’s contemporary music scene. Earlier in their journey, the duo were also runners-up for Rising Star Artist at the AfroFuture Festival in 2022.
Their musical career officially began in October 2021, growing naturally from a lifelong passion for dance and performance. Since then, the twins have developed a distinctive Afro-fusion performance style that combines choreography, humor, storytelling, and infectious rhythms, creating an engaging experience that resonates across concerts, festivals and digital platforms.
Beyond performance, Lali X Lola are also active contributors to conversations about the business of music, intellectual property rights, and the evolving economics of African music. Through creative campaigns, public discussions and industry engagement, they advocate for greater awareness of artist rights and the sustainable development of Africa’s creative industries.
Lali X Lola’s creative journey is deeply rooted in family collaboration. The duo are managed by their father, whom they affectionately call their “Dadanger” (Daddy/Manager). Their brother, Kimathi Dake Jr., doubles as their Assistant Manager and their in-house producer under the moniker “Rappidd”, while their mother plays a key role as Brand Manager. Together, the family forms a close-knit creative unit guiding the duo’s artistic and strategic growth.
Energetic, expressive and proudly authentic, Lali X Lola represent a new generation of Ghanaian artists combining performance excellence, cultural storytelling, and strategic industry awareness.
“It’s a family thing. No wahala.”
